Hi

I?m currently studying an undergraduate computer based degree and I am interested in computer forensics. My question is should I take a postgrad in computer forensics or should I do another undergraduate course in computer forensics as I might not have the correct background? What would you advise? My current course is in Computer and Information Systems and covers Network principles, Windows Programming, Databases, Business IT, Systems Analysis, ISS, R&D, Data Centric Windows Programming, OOAD, Project Management, Open Source Systems, DBMS, Advanced Programming, Usability Engineering and Distributed Enterprise Applications. The postgrad I?m interested in studying is at University of Glamorgan and is the MSc Computer Forensics course. Thanks for you time and thanks for the advice

Hi Anthony,

This does not answer your question but I have just been accepted at Glamorgan Uni to study for an MSc Computer Forensics for Sept 2008. My only qualifications I have to offer are an Access to HE, 2 GCSE's @ Maths(C) and English(B) and my enthusiasm. I have no Computer qualifications (apart from CLAIT?!) Therefore, I think you would be streets ahead (lol)

Have you been to visit yet? I will be going on Feb 20th.

What you have described there sounds quite impressive. As its already been mentioned on these forums, there is some very good reports coming from the people of Glamorgan, so the MSC will have some weight there, unlike some other schools.

Good luck.
