Hello all

A couple of years ago I took an ethical hacking course with 7Safe which I felt was quite useful. At the time they were offering an MSc in conjunction with the University of Glamorgan, who I understand are quite well respected in the Computer Security field. I couldn't take it up at the time but I now have the opportunity to go for a Higher Ed qualification through my employer and, while my first thought was to go back to 7Safe, I see that they now only offer the PGCE via Glamorgan and the MSc is done through Univ. Bedfordshire.

Looking at Bedfordshire's site their MSc seems to be brand new so does anyone have any background on the department or on how well respected 7Safe is in the field. I am wary of committing time and effort to a degree that may not be much respected in the field.

Thanks
Phoenix

I have just been on the panel of Birmingham City University's Computer Forensics Degree Course to approve/disapprove. I approved it.

I was there with a lovely lady from Glamorgan University, (Paula Thomas), who I must say did nothing but enhance my opinion that Glamorgan is certainly one of, if not the best Uni to go to for Computer Forensics. Birmingham City University will be providing a good course, but Glamorgan certainly has the edge, (experience etc).

As for 7safe, they are a good computer security company. It would be improper of me to say too much - however they have many good clients and are very successful.

Personally, I would go for Glamorgan.

Good luck.
