My current setup:
ANTEC 900 Case
ANTEC TP3-550 PSU
Intel Core 2 QUAD Q6600 2.40GHZ
Asus P5N-E SLI nForce 650i Motherboard
Corsaire X2 2gb DDR2 800mhz
NVIDIA GEFORCE 512MB 8600GT
Firewire 400 drivebay
16X DVD-RW DL Philips
500gb Seagate SATA HDD
Windows XP Pro SP2
This system is rock solid. Do you think this is overkill for Encase?
Some small tweaks would be nice! such as 2X SATA RAID 0, Firewire 800 and 2X SLI 8800GTX's graphics cards.
My old system consited of:
2X 1.8 Zeon's
8gb DDR 400
2X 160gb SCSI RAID 0
IDE drivebay
Windows 2003 Server.
The system would lockup and crash on a daily basis, I swapped the Zeons for standard Pentium 4 3ghz and this seemed to stop most of the issues.
