Hello, just registered, found you on google.

Let me first introduce myself, I am Chris, 27, from Durham Uk and have been toying with the idea of a career in computer forensics for some time.

My circucumstances have changed within the last six months and I am keen to revisit the possibility of a career in Computer forensics, preferably within the police force

I would be grateful if anyone could give me some advice on what qualifications I should be aiming for and who are the best training providers within the forensic sector.

I am currently fully employed as a civil servant working for the MOD, so course would have to be part time, I dont think my wife would ever forgive me if I left work and became a full time student! especially with a mortgage to pay!

Anyway, looks a good forum, and would be grateful for any advice that anyone could offer.

I await with anticipation your replies.:D

Lord Flashheart,

I would recommend either Glamorgan, Derby isnt too bad, (as they have a legal section that works with you too), Portsmount Uni is getting a good reputation too.

I have also just been on the approval panel for Birmingham City University, but they are only starting it this year, so its not very well developed yet.

Glamorgan is probably the best out there for those with no experience.

Good luck,

Simon
