Hi Guys,

I have recently graduated from Aberystwyth University in Wales with a degree in Business Information Technology. This degree has given me a vast technical knowledgebase to work from and will allow me to adapt to new challenges within the world of IT. The degree is at heart a computer science degree, some modules differ to incorporate business and management topics to make for a well rounded degree suited to the modern day world of IT where being able to speak both business and IT languages are crucial.

Since graduating I have applied for jobs in areas such as product management and project management. While these at the time seemed like the way to go I have since declined job offers in favour of applying myself to the forensic computing area of IT. After reading various papers and websites about forensic computing including material such as the ACPO guide I feel that this area will provide the challenges and experiences I am seeking from a career.

My goal is to gain employment within the computer forensics department, while I have no specific forensic experience to this point, I am willing to undertake any qualifications or training that would facilitate this employment path. As I have just graduated I have a real desire to grow both personally and professionally by furthering my learning to encompass new skills and techniques. I am willing to absorb any teaching that is available in order to make sure that I am as productive as possible within the company.

I am currently based in Chester but I am willing to re-locate for the right job offer. I also have my own vehicle and full UK driving license so travel is not a problem.
