Hello, Just thought i'd introduce myself.
Not sure if this forum will get going, but if it does i am one of the first to register :)
I'm Dean and i'm a student currently studying a BSc Computer Forensics at the University of Northumbria.
I'm in my first year and i am loving it so far, really interested in this field of work and i hope others can share any experiences with me,
Thanks

Welcome Dean, glad to have you on board!
I have been busy working on tenders lately, but I should have a bit of time to get these forums up and running soon, so please be patient.
Regards,
Simon

Hi Dean,
I was loooking at that Uni, when i was loooking for courses, but i wanted to stay in Wales. (Due to paying less tuition fees)
Is the course easy to get along with?
Hi Dan,
I've heard good things in other forums about Northumberland Uni (unn.ac.uk) Forensic, and been lucky to meet some of the staff there too. Place seems good to me, the guys are really switched on, the lab environment is well uptodate, and all housed in a nice clean modern building.
From the what i've seen, i could recommend.
Always but always check the course content though. Whats good for others may not be good for you.

The University of Portsmouth offer a couple of good courses. Undergraduates can do BSc (Hons) Digital Forensics and for Postgraduates, MSc Forensic Information Technology is available. I have recently graduated from UoP with the MSc. They are just adding the finishing touches to a brand new Forensics lab as well! :)

Well I'm currently deciding what to do as I'm really on the verge of leaving Northumbria. I'm currently in my third year and am a bit concerned about how I would actually resume my studies. Do University allow students to go straight onto the third year? Iain do you know if Portsmouth study Programming Languages? just that's one of the reasons I'm contemplating leaving my current degree/uni. Their site is very brief on what you will or will not study.
