My company has one server which is used for shopfloor control and is very tight in budget. They have a mfg sw they use for entering mfg related data. They have a backup server in case this server goes down but there is a license issue of the mfg software since its too expensive to buy another one. If this main server goes down, the mfg line will come to a halt and employees cant enter data..Got any cheap ideas?

Hi lpa, although this question seems to be outside the remit of the forensics forum i can offer a general pointer:
Contact the software vendor for authoritative advice. Asking for second guesses on forums and acting on that advice could get both parties in a whole heap of trouble.
Hope You get sorted fella, as i know the economics of operation can be difficult sometimes.
But finding a 'backdoor' solution isn't one that i'd recommend.
