Congrats to all at RTL for gaining the patent, having used the Aceso system in work and seeing the Athena system demonstated I can highly recommend their products and if I ever "go it alone" RTL products will be my first call !

Radio Tactics Limited are delighted to announce that they have recently received formal notification from the European Patent Office that their application to register an invention, originally filed on 14/04/2005, has now been formally granted under number EP1717767 B.
The invention relates to the unique and very high level of security used to store digital forensic information on SIM cards during the process of a forensic acquisition from a mobile phone SIM card. Radio Tactics has prided itself in the delivery of cutting edge technology to its mobile phone or cellular digital forensics customers and in the 6 years that the Company has been trading there have been more than 97,000 acquisitions carried out by customers worldwide using this technology. From the outset intellectual property has been a key feature of the Radio Tactics business model and the investment made by the Company in developing its technology is often recognised in the investment decision made by its customers when choosing the tailored solutions offered by the Company. The mobile phone digital forensics market is undergoing phenomenal global growth with year on year demand expanding at least 4 times per annum, making the protection of innovation and expert design all the more important in a rapidly developing and competitive market. With a pipeline of patent applications for commercially sensitive inventions now having been filed, including European application EP09002507.3 and US application US11/403408, the clear strategic objective is to protect the integrity and value of the investments made by customers in Radio Tactics technology and to ensure that the Company continues to maintain its industry leading position of enabling access to advanced digital forensic technologies by the broadest range of police, military and government users worldwide. Congrats on the patent.
If I am reading correctly, its on the software that encrypts the data, rather than the kit itself?
Is that right?

Hi Simon,
Thank you for the response.
The patent relates to the concept and process relating to the unique and very high level of security used to store digital forensic information on SIM cards during the process of a forensic acquisition from a mobile phone SIM card.
In order to have a patent granted the implimentation of the concept needs to be evidenced, Radio Tactics used the FST to demonstrate this. However, this does not mean that the patent specifically relates to FST, as it equally applies to all of our forensic products.
If you have any other enquiries please let me know
